And today a stalker was born! Well, yesterday at lunch actually, if you want to get all technical...
The more I think about it, a public blog is not the best place to announce your plans to stalk anybody OR anything. But that's a chance I'm going to have to take because my lunch from Fishin' Fellas was stalker worthy!
(*Disclaimer: I only plan to stalk this truck for the awesomeness it serves up, not the people working on the truck. I'm pretty sure that is still illegal πin this country-just sayin')
I've seen this particular food truck in and around the area a time or two. Especially, Northeast Columbia, which I have affectionately starting referring to as South Charlotte to my friends and family (because it's so FREAKING far from everything else in Columbia, SC).
But I'm still a little new on the food truck scene and still value a good old fashioned recommendation before I will venture out and try something new. I know, I'm missing out, but I'm starting to come around. And I'm so glad I did! Fishin' Fellas was parked in the parking lot at my job, so they literally fell into my lap. As I walked outside and closer to the truck, I noticed the crowds starting to form. People of all shapes and sizes were expeditiously walking to the same location with a crazed look in their eyes.
Yes...I knew right then and there that this was going to be a magical experience. I walked up and scanned the menu carefully. I decided on the shrimp tacos and crab fries. It helped that a guy ahead of me in line mentioned that you couldn't possibly go wrong with anything on the menu. And from the way he said it, I totally believed this strange man I had never met before. Talk about blind trust...
But he was absolutely right! My lunch was spot on with both the taste and portion size. Now, I paid $14 dollars, which means I won't be doing too much stalking, but the meal was well worth the price--just not every day.
And the customer service was awesome because I was allowed to tweak my order just a little. Because for some "greedy" reason, I needed both the taco and the crab fries in my life. And it just so happened this wasn't paired together on the menu. Go figure...π¦
