My Top (4) MAC Matte Lip Colors

Every girl should have at least (4) minimum lip products in her arsenal. At least that's my opinion.

So let's get started with the colors I hold near and dear to my heart!

1. Mac Ruby Woo (My Top Choice!)

I wish I could say that I found this color on a visit to the Mac Cosmetics counter and we immediately fell in love. (Yes, I have that kind of connection with my beauty products. :-0)

But that wasn't the case at all. I actually discovered the color via social media. It was right before the release of Rihanna's first Mac release and everyone was buzzing. It was a time I feel for the hype, but I'm so glad I did. Since I ran out of the limited edition color that I initially fell in love with, I found that Mac had a similar color. I tried it and we've been together ever since. I can literally where this on my lips, eyeliner and lashes and I get this fierce chic look!

2. Mac Smoked Purple

Shades of purple look good on me. Besides, I wanted a deep tone for both the fall and when I want a deeper toned makeup look. This color looks good alone, but still feel the need to pick up a lip pencil.

3. MacWhirl

I blame Kylie Jenner for this purchase. Because before the launch of her lip line, this was all anyone was talking about. I must of looked at a million photos online to see if color would look right on my skin tone. Luckily, it was around the holidays and I ended up receiving this baby as part of my Secret Santa. 

I hated it! But only at first. This is going to sound quite crazy, but my lips have a natural line that I love. The only issue when wear lighter colors. Which of course I didn't fully realize until I attempted to wear this lip color. Don't worry, I just needed a liner. I usually rock this with a lip liner (Kourt K) from the Kylie Jenner line. For me, that's the color way I could wear this lip color. So half the battle is finding the right liner to make it work best for you. 

4. Mac Heroine

I know!! I already know what you're thinking. This is not your everyday lip color. Your right. And if you do decide to take a walk on the wild side and give this color a try, I would highly suggest you don't apply much else besides foundation and neutral colors. 

Now I know this blog is about everyday colors that I like, and although I do think color is included, I definitely would not wear to the office (at least where I work because this color doesn't not fit in the culture).

But, I would apply this color if I were going out right after work with friends or on a date. It's an amazing and vivid color.
