Lazy Sundays, Family Brunch & Waterfront Strolls...

This view is from the boardwalk. There was a slight overcast, so this photo did not do it justice!
I love that I grew up so close to the coast. Just looking back, I too often took for granted how blessed I was, to have at my disposal, what some families planned for and waited an entire year for--in the form of a family getaway/vacation.

These small southern towns (true gems) will forever be written about in history books for my state, but I've always considered them to be my weekly retreats with my family and close friends. (#blessed) Especially during the colder months when, tourist season came to a complete halt.

To the right, is where boats come up to dock. To the left, is an assortment of boutiques and restaurants.
Just recently, I got to spend some time on the coast, super close to where I was raised, with family and friends. There was good food, a repeat from Thanksgiving (1 week prior--don't judge us :-)), but this time no one had to cook or clean-up. So, as always, there was an unlimited amount of funny stories that was complimented with light shopping and a stroll along on the waterfront.

This food was so delicious!! It was not my first time, but the food took a little longer because our table party was so large.
I promise, I meant to take a photo of my plate before I jumped in, but I was starving at this point.
As I live, I feel that I get a little wiser with time. I learn to make time for the things and people that help me flourish. Hopefully, I give off just a small amount of what I receive. Luckily for me, I don't have to go very far to get my soul nurtured by those I hold dear!

Since my family had an early Sunday brunch, all the shops were not yet open and people were just starting
to arrive for various events. Y'all, the cutie in the photo is my dad!

Hope you are enjoying this Sunday with those you hold also dear. Whether it be in person or over a long phone conversation.

XOXOXO
