Kylie Jenner | Kourt K

All anyone seems to talk about lately is Kylie Jenner and her lip line. And I must say, it's pretty hard to throw shade on her success because the line is something pretty spectacular. Imagine applying your morning lipstick/gloss and having no real need to reapply throughout the day. I'm talking staying power even after the morning run to Starbucks!

Let me say, I can't "yet" comment on all the colors that belong to the Kylie Jenner lip collection, BUT "Kourt K" is definitely something worth blogging and bragging about.  Especially, on darker skin tones.

Maybe it's just me but plums are always a good color choice for darker skin tones. Personally, I feel that I can get buy with just the liner and a little clear gloss or whatever light gloss tickles my fancy on that particular day. (see below)

Even though this product was "gifted" to me (not by the company -- but I am open to that Kylie Jenner (*wink*)), the color I was gifted, would have been the exact lip-kit color I purchased for myself.

Why? Check out the consistency. Okay -- maybe it's a little hard to tell from just the pictured swatches, but the product is "thick" and oh so very pigmented.

This means, a very little product goes a very long way. Which is an awesome thing since the lip-kits cost about $30 + shipping costs. That's not a lot. But it's also not a little. Besides, if you are anything like me, you HATE shipping cost with a passion (Amazon Prime anyone???).

Needless to say, you get both a gloss and a liner in the lip-kit. So that's about $15 each and definitely on point with what most of us already pay, if we purchase these products separately anywhere else.
And that pencil is something smooth to glide on your lips! Trust me, I've used some pretty dry pencils in my day and they aren't any fun at all. Another added bonus that most people don't talk about is how easily the pencil sharpens. Added bonus right here ladies! (*smile*)

And the lipstick went on so pigmented that I literally only apply to my bottom lip and press my lips together for awesome color coverage.

Keep in mind this kit is matte, which is why it "can" stay on so well all day. So, to combat the "dry look" I add a little of my Palmer's Cocoa Butter stick a a base before color application. This helps so much! Even if you aren't down with Palmer's like me. Because matte is good, but rough matte is bad. Trust me -- there is a difference.

Final verdict, I love the color payoff and length of time I can wear the product without need for a reapply. Trust, just this alone with save money over time.

XOXO
